Journey to the Fair Gate of Heaven

Our pilgrimage begins with Ave Maria by Robert Parsons (1535 - 1571/2), a five part piece with deeply supportive double bass line, scalic passages and soaring femininity in the plainsong-like soprano line. Certainly, Parson's musical journey to Mary, 'the fair gate of heaven' is that of respect and tenderness , her glory  clearly represented  in circling scales and a warm and expanding Amen. We continue with various masterpieces of the Renaissance, including the three part Ego flos campi by Jacobus Clemens non Papa (c1510 -1515 - 1555/6), again a tender realisation of femininity and sensuality.

Voci Chamber Choir

Voci is an amateur choir based in North Wales.  We love to specialise in Renaissance and Baroque choral music and frequently perform at services and concerts alike.  We meet as friends and are a happy mixture of people from all walks of life.
